Did you know that the Arizona APCO/NENA Chapter hosts a Spring Picnic every year in conjunction with their regularly scheduled quarterly membership meeting?
Did you also know that everyone involved in Public Safety Communications, regardless of membership in the chapter, is welcome to attend (friends and family are welcome too!).
The Spring Picnic is a great opportunity to get out of the Comm Center for a day to meet and interact with others involved in our profession. It is also a time to enjoy some great food, great conversations, learn a thing or two, and maybe even walk away with some cool swag, donated by our vendor and agency partners. The picnic also offers a great glimpse into the workings of the State Chapter of these great organizations that represent all of us in this profession. If you are interested in pursuing an active role in the Chapter, this is your time for a no pressure, no commitment look at what we do and how we operate.
This year the picnic is again being held at Reid Park in Tucson on Friday March 16th from 10am-2pm in Ramada 22. We will be having a picnic lunch made up of great BBQ catered from Famous Daves (I can hardly wait to have one of those amazing cornbread muffins in my mouth!), while we also conduct our quarterly meeting.
As i mentioned earlier, everyone involved with Public Safety Communications is invited to attend, and there is no cost or fee to you, as the Chapter and our vendor partners pick up the costs, however, we do need those planning on attending to RSVP so that we can plan accordingly for space and food needs.
If you haven’t already, why not RSVP today? You can do so by completing the registration at this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2018-arizona-apconena-spring-picnic-tickets-43181296420.
I look forward to seeing everyone in Tucson next Friday!
